What happens when you become one of the
NFL’s promising young stars? You give back to the community that
helped you along the way.
Cleveland native Chris Chambers, founder of Chambers Sports Foundation
CSF) hosts football skills camps to promote intercity and
suburban communities sports programs. No one knows better than Chris how
community sports programs provide youth the opportunity to develop
athletic talents in preparation for advanced competitions.
Before his career at Wisconsin or his arrival in Miami, Chris
started his athletic career at Glenville High School in Cleveland.
Later, he moved on to Bedford High where he earned many All-American
awards. Chris knows that his ability to compete and win local
and statewide competitions was a result of self-discipline, strong
family support and the availability of community resources. Chris
believes it was these contributors in his early life that led
him to his collegiate success and a prominent player in the NFL.
CSF allows youths (ages 8 – 17) an opportunity to learn football
skills for immediate application. The camp goal is to bring together
professional football players and support personnel to help youths
develop an appreciation for intramural sports competitions. The
camps include football skills activities, competitions, awards,
lunch and exclusive autograph’s sessions for all participants
that attend.
